HOW TO HELP
The unique benefit of joining the AWOW family is that you may personally witness the effects of your donation, whether it be time, money or both. We welcome any and all to join us in our mission to better the lives of those around us.
You can help make a difference in the lives of a special needs child and their family by clicking the Donate Now button below and giving what you can.
You may also join the AWOW family by filling out our volunteer signup form here.
A Walk On Water events are, and will always be, free to families and all who attend. Nevertheless, these moments we create do indeed have costs – and we rely on supporters' donations to put on each and every event. 100% of donations are filtered directly back into the charity.
Currently, donations for A Walk On Water are accepted on behalf of Variety, The Children’s Charity, which is an established 501 (c) 3 run by those in the entertainment industry. Variety inspired us to start A Walk On Water when they created the annual “Malibu Surfers Healing Autism Event” 14 years ago honoring Pat Notaro Jr., Sony Executive and father of A Walk On Waters founder.
AWOW has been waiting patiently for over a year to receive confirmation of our official tax exempt status from the IRS. Unfortunately, due to government shutdowns, this process has taken much longer than initially expected. We do; however, expect to have approval by June of this year, according to IRS projections.
In the meantime, donations may be sent to: Variety The Children's Charity
